How you will make contributions that matter
As an experienced Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the external spend within our Utilities category. You will provide specialist support to the Senior Procurement Manager and will manage the delivery of sustainable commercial benefits to the business. This will include the future renewables strategy associated with the procurement of energy and gas.
Our Procurement team supports the business as a strategic, value adding function working to optimise the supply of goods and services whilst managing potential risks. You will be part of a larger Procurement team who are passionate about the company and the industry, who are engaged and respected by the business and who strive for excellence in their role as commercial advisers.
About you
This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual who has a unique ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. You will also possess the following:
- Proven procurement experience ideally in a large, complex organisation
- Strong commercial acumen with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- A customer centric approach with the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships
- Capacity to negotiate, identify risks and apply relevant market intelligence to make decisions
- A solid understanding of procurement methodology and running tenders end to end
- Prior exposure to SAP and Ariba ideally
