Procurement Officer for an Immediate start in Mackay working in the aged care sector

Your new role
In this role you will find yourself carrying out duties including but not limited to;
- Conduct procurement activities for administration, kitchen/catering, clinical, maintenance, building, and grounds.
- Manage and oversee the organisation's inventory, ensuring efficient stock rotation and minimising wastage.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify procurement needs, specifications, and budget constraints
- Track deliveries, ensuring goods are received in accordance with quotes and invoices.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensuring procurement processes adhere to procurement guidelines and compliance
- Creating purchase orders, tenders & evaluating tenders
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require the following;
- Qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly regarded.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the healthcare or aged care sector.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing procurement activities.
- Qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in procurement documentation and delivery tracking.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Evidence of Flu and Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilitiess
