Randstad is partnering with a Federal Government Agency with newly created APS5 and APS6 Procurement Officer positions. These roles are based in Sydney, either in the CBD or Parramatta with work from home flexibility available. This role is initially a 5 month contract, with the view to extend a further 12 months.
Responsibilities of Procurement Officer:
- Lead, review, and manage procurement activities in alignment with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
- Assist in managing procurement activities using SAP, specifically for contractors and consultants through RFQ processes.
- Handle procurement reporting for end-of-month accruals.
- Prepare various documents such as correspondence, procurement papers, and minutes.
- Coordinate training and events for external evaluators.
- Process invoices and manage the group mailbox.
- Provide procedural and administrative support for operational tasks.
- Cultivate productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Aid in drafting various documents such as correspondence and briefs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in a geographically dispersed team environment.
About you:
- Experience with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines
- End to end procurement experience, preferably within Federal or State Government
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with SAP or ability to develop the skill
- Must be an Australian Citizen
