MPI is seeking a Temporary Procurement Purchasing Administrator to join one of our clients in managing their procurement operations efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of their projects through effective communication and procurement strategies. This is a temporary role; however, there is potential for permanent for the right person.Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the site-based team in the Pilbara region via phone and email.
- Place orders for equipment and machine parts required for site operations.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to place and track orders.
- Monitor and negotiate delivery terms and prices with suppliers.
- Track deliveries to ensure timely arrival of goods.
- Obtain quotes from various suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as a liaison between site needs and suppliers, requiring excellent communication skills.
- Procure stock promptly to address breakdowns.
- Occasionally review technical specifications for equipment and parts.
- Advance procurement procedures to standardise processes.
- Monitor procurement tracking systems for efficiency and accuracy.
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using phone and email for effective communication.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail in tracking orders and managing procurement documentation.
- Familiarity with technical specifications for equipment and machinery is a plus.
- Prior experience in standardising procurement procedures is advantageous.
