Job Description
About the Role
Join our Engineering Services team as a full-time Junior Technician and initiate your career in a dynamic and stimulating setting. As part of our service team, you will play a role in supporting, maintaining, and installing the wagering terminals at RWWA retail agencies and racecourses.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical support to RWWA retail agencies and racecourses
- Accurately use the spare parts and stock control inventory
- Ensure all service vehicles used are log booked, kept clean, serviced at correct intervals and any parts or tools used are replenished as per the provided vehicle equipment list
- Ensure all assets are kept up to date in RWWA's databases regarding faults, repairs, transfers, or modifications
- Actively participate in Lean & 5S methodologies, following all terminal SOPs and Engineering Services 5S zone requirements to ensure the highest level of quality
- Work with team members on hardware repair activities to ensure the ongoing availability, integrity, performance, and maintainability of RWWA’s betting terminal and associated hardware fleet
- You must be above 18 years old with a willingness to learn and follow Engineering Services' Lean & 5S working methodologies as well as the associated diagnostic software
- Hold a curiosity for electronic devices and gadgets
- Current 'C' class driver's license
- Knowledge and understanding of TAB operations equipment is advantageous
- Strong skills in problem-solving, and administration with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic report writing skills and computer literacy (Microsoft Office/Windows environment)
- Available to participate in the On Call roster for out-of-hours support, and weekend roster
- Available for overnight or longer country work trips to retail agencies and racecourses
- The successful candidate will undergo on-the-job training and have the opportunity to pursue a Certificate II in Electronics as part of their professional development.
