Form of workVDC (Vehicle Development Corporation) has an excellent opportunity for a Procurement / Purchasing / Parts Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Production & Engineering to identify & procure Parts for Production on a timely basis. This includes sourcing vendors.
- Responsible for procurement of day to day items as required.
- Monitor Supplier Performance.
- Negotiate Supply Agreements and Pricing.
- Managing the Parts Team, including the Service & Parts Advisor & Warehouse staff to ensure business objectives are met.
- Maximising Warehouse efficiency.
- Overseeing Stocktakes & ensuring accuracy of data.
- Liase with Production Manager & Supervisors & manage change.
- Manage slow moving and obsolete stock.
- Oversee Retail Parts sales.
- Implement Marketing Plans in relation to Retail Parts.
To be successful you would need:
- Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
- The successful applicant must have experience within the Automotive Industry and an eye for detail.
- Understanding of financial costing of vehicles.
- Good people skills & ability to work at all levels.
- Competent computer skills with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Microcat knowledge an advantage.
- A high level of personal presentation and professionalism.
- A current Drivers Licence.
- Focus on continuous improvement ideas.
This is a permanent Full-Time position Monday to Friday with parking available and close to public transport.
