Crown Resorts buys over $1B of goods and services every year. The Procurement and Supply Chain (P&SC) team manages this buying on behalf of the business. P&SC is a group function, servicing the three sites across Australia, and with staff based at all three sites. Supporting the business units such as Hotels, Gaming, Food and Beverage, and Events, the team negotiates contracts with suppliers to ensure the best value for Crown.
Working within the Procurement area of P&SC, this role will collaborate with other Procurement Specialists to manage a variety of go-to-market, sole source, and contracting activities and is responsible for the effective sourcing, negotiation, and delivery of goods and services as requested by our internal customers.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Source products to meet internal customer’s needs, contacting current suppliers and manufacturers
Assist and or run Tenders/RFX from end to end
Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers
Obtaining and assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns
Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria
Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records
Assist with ad-hoc project/event goods and services sourcing based on what user requests
Follow up on non- delivered goods with suppliers/customers in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure
Attend trade shows and supplier visits
Have a strong understanding of internal business unit needs by meeting regularly and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders
Regularly release market updates to internal customers on status of good and services, quality, availability and expected trends
Assist and enter in the setup of contracts arising from online sourcing activities, including the construction of tasks and assignment to the correct business units contract supervisors
Key selection criteria:
Thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Sound time-management and organizational skills
Solution-oriented with demonstrated experience in a team environment
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products, particularly Excel
