Producer, Radio Sydney

• $85K to $102K plus 15.4% ABC Nominated Super Fund

About the Role

The role will have you produce programs and create digital content for ABC Radio Sydney. This involves the creation of content across multiple platforms which engages local and national audiences.

You will also: 

• Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage Plan and communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Operate radio studio equipment for broadcasting to ensure seamless continuity of programs.

About You

We are looking for a Producer with skills, knowledge and experience in advanced content making and ability to develop and present original and engaging audio and multi-platform content for target audience. You have a strong and developed ability to communicate effectively, work effectively in teams to share ideas, skills and knowledge across the teams to foster an open and creative approach to work.

You will also have:

• Advanced editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise considerable judgement.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of issues that affect the audience.
• Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities where editorially relevant.
• Demonstrated experience in the curation of social media and/or digital content in a media organisation, including video editing.
