Job description

Join Our Team as a Product Management Lead - Shape the Future of Health Innovations!

Are you passionate about transforming the healthcare industry through Product Management and driving innovative solutions? We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity within our Strategy, Innovation, and Ventures department at HCF.

As a Product Management Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative products that have the potential to transform the healthcare industry. Reporting to the Head of Innovation, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product strategies, develop roadmaps, and lead the execution of product initiatives. Your contributions will have a direct impact on shaping the future of our organization and the industries we operate in. This is a hybrid position, allowing you to work both remotely and from our HCF Sydney Head Office.

Why Us?

Purpose-Driven: Join us in our mission to drive innovation and create a positive impact on industries and society as a whole. Your work will contribute to our overarching goal of transforming businesses and driving sustainable growth.

Innovation Culture: Be part of a dynamic team that fosters a culture of innovation and embraces disruptive ideas. We encourage entrepreneurial thinking and provide a platform for you to bring your creative ideas to life.

️ Growth-Oriented Environment: Work alongside a team of talented professionals who share your passion for innovation and growth. We provide a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development.

What You'll Contribute:

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in introducing innovative solutions that help our members lead healthier lives. Your expertise will aid in the development and launch of transformative products that make a meaningful impact. Key responsibilities include:

Utilizing the Product Management Toolkit: You will leverage your Product Management skills and expertise to drive innovation in our projects. This includes defining the product strategy, driving product development from concept to launch, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Leading Product Roadmap: You will take charge of leading the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and member needs. Your ability to prioritize initiatives and make data-driven decisions will be crucial in delivering new offerings that resonate with our members.

Managing Cross-Functional Teams: You will collaborate with a skilled team of business, tech, and design professionals who share your passion for introducing innovations that contribute to a healthier and better world. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing and inspiring the team responsible for delivering new offerings to our members.

Problem-Solving: Your knack for problem-solving will be put to use as you tackle complex challenges and find creative solutions. You will have the opportunity to apply your robust engineering background and seamlessly transition between business, engineering, and design disciplines to drive product innovation.

️ A Dynamic Week: A typical week in this role may involve running a technology immersion workshop for senior executives, examining the product backlog for a new offering with an external scrum master, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be at the forefront of our innovation projects, working with passionate professionals dedicated to introducing innovations that make a positive impact.

Other Responsibilities:

• Consistently model the HCF Values and our cultural norms (people matter; be brave; empowered and autonomous; respectful and efficient).

• Identify future opportunities and create new ways for HCF to succeed.

• Support the Strategy, Innovation, and Ventures teams and the wider business as required.

Who You Are:

Seasoned Professional: You are a founder-type professional with a proven track record of at least 5 years in high-pressure startup environments, top-tier consulting firms, or equivalent contexts. Your background in these dynamic settings has honed your resilience and agility, making you well-suited to thrive in an innovative and fast-paced organization.

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications: You hold relevant tertiary qualifications from a top-tier institution, such as a degree in business, economics, strategy, psychology, or a related field. Your educational background showcases your strong foundation in the key disciplines necessary for success in this role.

Strategy and Innovation Disciplines: You bring experience and expertise in a range of strategy and innovation disciplines. You are adept at quantitative and economic modelling, design thinking, human-centered design, product prototyping and testing, growth hacking, and lean startup operations. Your proficiency in these disciplines allows you to contribute effectively to the development and execution of innovative ventures.

Strategic Methodology: It is desirable for you to possess knowledge and experience in strategic methodology, principles, theories, and concepts. Your familiarity with the strategy toolkit empowers you to analyse complex business environments and devise effective strategies.

Understanding of Health and Health-related Industries: You demonstrate an aptitude for understanding health and health-related industries. Your knowledge and insights into these sectors provide valuable perspectives for the development of innovative ventures in the healthcare domain.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: You have a proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales. Your ability to align stakeholders, manage dependencies, and drive successful outcomes in a collaborative environment is essential for this role.

Agile Environment Experience: Previous experience in an agile environment and familiarity with agile methodologies is desirable. Your understanding of agile practices enables you to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a dynamic setting.
