Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. The Guidance and Investing Crew is responsible for the strategy and profitable growth of the Commonwealth Bank’s digital Guidance and retail investment products. The Guidance and Trading squad is responsible helping everyday Australians accelerate their wealth creation journey through the usage of the Investing Hub. This includes product monitoring and activation, product strategy, product design and development.
Do work that matters
Reporting directly to the Chapter Lead, Guidance and Investing and indirectly to the Product Owner, Guidance and Trading, you will be responsible for developing, editing and implementing product strategies to meet customer needs and achieve business targets. You will work in cross function squad as a product leader to drive outcomes that deliver disproportionate value, seek out and overcome obstacles, effectively manage strategic partnerships, equip the squad with right data to aid better judgement, manage the P&L and inspire others to do the same
On any given day you will

• Research and identify strategic opportunities to continuously enhance product offerings and drive profitable growth.
• Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to diagnose customer behaviours and product performance to report on and develop practical hypotheses / actions we could test / take to market.
• Develop and lead key business initiatives on the product roadmap, including development of sound business cases and championing product and/or portfolio changes in collaboration with other squads across the product value chain.
• Support the P&L management of the investing channel and products including supporting the Acquisition and Features & Usage squads on forecasting, planning and delivery when required.
• Understand the voice of the customer, be across and pre-empt impact of macro, micro and product landscapes that pertain to retail investment products and customer behaviour.
• Nurture and expand strategic partnerships to seek out and remove obstacles creating strong alignment, efficiency and governance.
• Proactively identify, understand and manage risks across the business ensuring they are captured in our tracking and reporting tool and being rectified in a timely manner.
• Play a leading role across the broader Guidance and Investing Crew, fostering collaborative culture and ensuring all CBA values are demonstrated at all times.
• Support and drive initiatives in the wider Guidance and Investing Crew when required (an example might include regulatory change that impacts multiple squads).
• Positively contribute to building a strong culture of collaborative and inclusivity across the crew and broader business.
