(LLS) is an Executive Agency of the Department of Regional New South Wales. It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. This regionally-based organisation brings together a wide range of service and advisory functions including agriculture, biosecurity, natural resource management, land management, biodiversity, emergency services and private native forestry.

About the role
Be part of a passionate, multidisciplinary team that works on one of the most sophisticated biodiversity restoration projects in NSW!
We are delivering best practice conservation management at a 900-ha landholding in the Cumberland Plain, Western Sydney including bush regeneration, soil & water remediation, cultural fire, pest animal management / eradication, fauna reintroduction, and habitat augmentation. We are working with six universities on a range of research projects associated with on-ground works, delivering cutting edge outcomes for conservation in Western Sydney.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver complex Land Services projects, including planning, financial management and evaluation
- Build and maintain relationships with land managers, community groups and other stakeholders
- Provide expert advice and support on natural resource management issues, including bush regeneration, revegetation, soil and water conservation, forestry, pest management and wildlife conservation
- Use GIS, field mapping, spreadsheets and databases to support project management and monitoring
- You hold a degree in agricultural, environmental, natural resource management, biosecurity and emergency management and/or equivalent level of industry knowledge and experience
- You have project management experience including planning, financial management and evaluation with the ability to effectively manage contracts and to balance conflicting goals and deadlines.
- You are an excellent communicator with the ability to develop and maintain relationships
- You have a positive and solution focussed attitude with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems
- Internally driven and motivated with the ability to work autonomously and simply get things done
- Hold a current NSW Driver Licence
- Experience with / knowledge of the ecology of Cumberland Plain natural environments
- Qualifications or experience in bush regeneration, revegetation, soil, water & erosion remediation, forestry, pest/ native fauna management or wildlife reintroduction
- NSW Biodiversity Assessment Methodology (BAM) accreditation or experience in quantitative flora survey
