About the opportunity at Legrand
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us as a Project Manager – Custom Products, for a maternity leave cover. Reporting to the Product Development Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the industrialisation activities for our custom-made product offerings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- managing the industrialisation of Custom Products from initial design concepts through to manufacturing
- collaborating with teams to evaluate requests, determine manufacturing processes, and project manage defined aspects
- regularly reviewing custom product delivery to ensure business targets are met
- estimating costs according to customer needs and compiling technical details for BOMs in the MRP system
- facilitating the manufacture or purchase of Custom Products
To be Successful in this role, you will have:
- tertiary qualifications in engineering or related technical discipline
- experience in a similar role and exposure to project management
- familiarity with MRP systems
- excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- an understanding of quality control concepts and standards
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- capability to define suitable solutions based on customer needs
- proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Project Management tools
- ability to build BOMs for the manufacturing management platform
- strong influencing and negotiation skills
- ability to manage and change priorities effectively
- quick decision-making ability based on situation summaries
