Product Manager: Melbourne

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, hands-on individual to take the lead in developing and rolling out the marketing strategy and execute the commercial success in Australia, making a difference and having fun whilst doing it. 

For this pivotal role, we are looking for an individual who is passionate, demonstrated marketing ability, and the energy and drive to inspire a high performing sales team. 

As a Product Manager your role will be responsible for: 

• Development of marketing strategies, objectives and multi/omnichannel promotional programs based on deep market understanding 

• Evaluate and report the effectiveness of promotional programs, using set KPIs, and make recommendations for improvement or changes as necessary 

• Analyse market trends and sales potential for use in sales forecast and planning 

• Develop methods for field testing of programs, campaign and tactics to determine acceptance and viability

• Work closely with sales function to create valued commercial initiatives, and keep informed on the needs of the sales force and external customers 

• Provide directive and project coordination on the go to market model 

• Develop, implement, facilitate and evaluate all training activities for new and existing products 

• Ensure all business activities comply with regulatory requirements (Medicines Australia Code of Conduct), legal demands and ethical standards. 

• Develop and maintain ethical strategic business relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other key customers in individual product fields. 

• Championing internal communication and training activities for assigned products 

 The ideal candidate will possess: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Science, Business and/or marketing 

• Highly regarded 3 to 5 year’s marketing/sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry 

• Analytical with the ability to produce actionable strategic and innovative insights 

• Commercial mindset, identify opportunities / problems and be solutions focused to drive results 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills; the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation, including the ability to successfully build a network with international colleagues 

• Highly developed organisational skills 

• Ability to meet periodic travel requirements of the role (both interstate and international, as necessary)
