We are working with a key client of ours who are currently going through an exciting digital transformation to develop the best technology platform in their industry.
About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into product requirements for technical teams as well as managing vendors to ensure successful product delivery. Reporting directly to the Technical Delivery Manager, you will assist with the digital transformation projects.
Some of your daily tasks will involve:
- Working with cross functional teams to gather and document clear business requirements;
- Managing a well-documented and clearly defined product backlog and user stories, with regular input from the business and product teams;
- Constantly seeking evidence that supports or challenges the backlog prioritisation - e.g. user interviews, user surveys, stakeholder meetings, support ticket analysis, etc.;
- Assisting with creating and executing user acceptance test plans based on the business requirements;
- Developing and managing project plans, scope, milestones, dependencies, issues & risks;
- Ensuring day-to-day coordination of projects;
- Managing multiple vendors for successful project delivery; and
- Maintaining product knowledge as new versions and upgrades are released.
About You:
We are looking for a team player who can work with a small internal team and vendors. You will demonstrate your technical skill and have the ability to easily translate your experience to deliver a client first led approach. You are at ease with a fast-paced working environment and can prioritise your time to achieve outcomes.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business or related field and a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Product Owner or similar;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies;
- Experience working with project management tools like Jira / Atlassian Suite, Asana; and
- Experience in the following areas: ERP systems, Point of sales, Ecommerce and Warehousing desirable.
