The Role
In this role you will be accountable for a variety of activities including; contributing to the development of inventory processes; resolving complex logistics problems, managing workflow and the provision of advice on logistic and inventory management activities.
You will:
- Provide guidance to the executive team on matters such as compliance and policy
- Provide effective leadership to an integrated team of APS and industry partners
- Engage with stakeholders in relation to complex issues
- Compose correspondence, briefs and reports to communicate performance.
About our Team
Inventory management comprises the activities required to manage Items of Supply (IOS) and ensure Defence assets and inventory are available for use when required to support the Defence mission.
You will work as part of an integrated team of APS, ADF and industry partners to deliver efficient and customer-focused inventory management and warehousing outcomes to our regional and national customer base.

Our Ideal Candidate
As a member of the Joint Logistics Unit (Victoria) Inventory Management team, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in an Inventory Management and Warehousing environments;
- Ability to resolve complex logistic problems;
- Experience in delivering customer focused logistics outcomes;
- Experience in leading a diverse team and fostering a cohesive work environment;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and delegate work;
- The ability to interpret policies and procedures and provide sound and timely advice; and
- Excellent communication skills/ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
