More about what you’ll do
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, the Product Specialist will drive business revenue and profit through strategic supplier management and product ranging for the allocated Minor Category. You will be assigned Product Minors to support the Senior Category Manager who manages a specific Category Portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive a strategic selection approach of business partners to source and negotiate product range, price and trading terms
- Create strategic plans, marketing programs and pricing that deliver category growth
- Manage and communicate supplier non-conformances and corrective actions activities
- Identify and communicate potential cost reduction/sourcing opportunities
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure online presence maximizing basket size value
- Develop a thorough strategic plan to drive value for your category based on an understanding of business & customer needs, the supply market, spend baseline and evolution, benchmarking, price availability, and supply chain logistics
This will be a 12 Month maternity leave contract until April 2025.
