Role Purpose:
This is a unique role, responsible for driving growth for Capricorn Society Services by promoting and championing value proposition to Market, along with product and service development.

The role will collaborate strongly with internal Capricorn teams and key stakeholders; specifically, Operations, Technology, Sales distribution, Credit, Compliance, and Marketing, to develop and deliver growth and experience initiatives.

The Product Specialist will report into the Product Owner and the broader portfolio team, playing a key role in influencing technical and go to market development of our financial services.

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Customer-centric (Members, Suppliers, Users) led approach to understanding needs, problems and opportunities whilst promoting efficiencies to deliver.
  • Provide Product Analysis identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Creative and action orientated to drive product innovation and improvements.
  • Regularly engage in market research to ensure Capricorn’s current and potential Products are highly valuable and relevant.
  • Assist in managing the Product backlog including the prioritisation delivery of initiatives and defined projects to meet growth, experience and productivity objectives.
  • Understanding of Business Improvement concepts to promote team productivity.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements of lending products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Critical thinking - The ability to understand and analyse problems and find solutions.
  • Problem solving - The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (eg. Tableau, Power BI)

Experience:

  • 2-3 years in a product analyst or related role
  • Proven experience in dealing with customers
  • Experience managing or collaborating on product development projects.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.

Desired:

  • Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer (KYC)
  • Experience in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
