As Product Technician - Country Road Childrenswear, you will be responsible for creating and providing design brief pack to the vendor and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process. You will provide sound technical advice to product developers and designers in understanding how the desired style and fit can be achieved.
Note: This is a 12 month fixed term parental leave contract.
What does the role involve?
- Provide technical advice and support to the team around Country Road Childrenswear styling and fitting requirements
- Create and maintain accurate technical packs in PLM system as required for all styles
- Establish and maintain appropriate construction standards across all categories with all suppliers that aligns with Brands quality expectations
- Pre-measure, QC check, steam and hang all samples prior to fitting session. Note any variances and any workmanship/construction issues and communicate clearly during fitting session
- Ensure all fit comments and construction changes are accurately captured and loaded into the PLM system after each fitting session.
- Actively troubleshoot with stakeholders when technical issues may arise, presenting options and solution aligned to the brand/Group objectives.
- Ensure vendors have all necessary information to commence production.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor of Fashion/Textiles or equivalent tertiary design qualification
- Experience in a similar role
- Understanding of garment grading and sizing
- Understanding of patternmaking
- Attention to detail in both workmanship and overall quality of a garment
