Production Assembly Technician

We prototype and manufacture in-house, and collaborate to test and deploy our technology in our workshop test tank, and on vessels in Sydney Harbour. We develop the hardware, electronics and software simultaneously as a tightly integrated system.

Role description:
You will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of robot modules, systems, and test equipment to a high quality as part of the Production Team.
Assembly of electro-mechanical robot modules according to procedures including thrusters, cameras, lights and sensors. This will include soldering of PCBAs, crimping wiring harnesses, potting, 3D printing and work with hand tools.
This role has an emphasis on strong documentation using Hullbot’s production and quality tracking systems.

Required skills/experience:
- Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly, preferably in a production or engineering workplace:
- hand tools, measuring equipment, soldering, 3D printing, crimping, potting
- Experience interpreting assembly procedures and engineering drawings
Desirable skills:
- Experience working with robotic systems.
- Hands-on experience with drones or mobile robotics.
- Rapid prototyping experience.
