An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified, motivated and driven Production Technician (Operator Maintainer) to join the team working at both the Colongra and HEZ Power Stations (Central Coast/Hunter based).
This role will be responsible for applying specialised plant knowledge to safely deliver the required availability and reliability of the plant in the most effective and efficient way.
Key tasks and accountabilities include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing regional plant improvements, performing routine maintenance, identifying root causes of plant failures, managing site contractor works and operating the plant as required.
To be successful in this role you will need:
An Electrical / Instrumentation trade background with a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience.
Knowledge of maintenance program requirements, analysis techniques and maintenance management practices
Demonstrated fault-finding & plant diagnostic skills along with a high understanding of plant reliability principles
Ability to participate in an on call roster with a callout response time of 1 hour
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of personnel to provide a consistent, reliable and high level of service
Strong computer literacy involving spreadsheets and statistical analysis
Demonstrated alignment with SHL's Values and Behaviours
Ability to adjust effectively to change and to work within new structures, processes, requirements and cultures
Ability to propose new ideas and contribute to quality improvements
Desirable attributes:
Comprehensive knowledge of gas and diesel power stations, gas turbines, operations and access requirements.
Comprehensive knowledge of planning, access authorisation and scheduling systems
