Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of our Fabric Cutting table, as well as to play a crucial role in templating vehicles, developing new products, and refining our current offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, Product Development, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabric Cutting Table Operation & Maintenance: Oversee the daily operation of the Fabric Cutting table, ensuring optimal performance, accuracy, and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Vehicle Templating: Create precise templates for vehicles to ensure custom fit and exceptional quality of our automotive products. Work closely with the design team to interpret and translate design requirements into practical applications.
- Product Development: Lead initiatives to develop new products from concept through to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet market needs, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Product Refinement: Continuously evaluate and refine existing products for improvements in design, functionality, and production efficiency. Implement changes to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for production processes, product specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes into the manufacturing workflow.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of work experience (full-time or equivalent), with specific experience in 2d cutting and Product Development preferred.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations, preferably with expertise in fabric-cutting technologies and Product Development.
- Strong understanding of vehicle templating and the development of custom-fit products.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously from conception through to completion.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
