POSITION
- Hands-on Process Engineer
- Appraise, measure, and analyse current processes
- Prepare process specifications, scale-up and commissioning
- Production Quality Control
- Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed modifications
- Identify problems, proactively create, and implement solutions
- Ensure effective use of resources
- Optimise process parameters for safety, productivity, efficiency, and implementation of safety improvements
- Develop SOPs
- Provide operational support including preventive maintenance procedures
- Preparation of commercial batch manufacturing procedures in collaboration with Chemical Engineer
- Participate in risk assessments and mitigate process safety hazards
- Ensure training is maintained and provide training to new staff as required
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Tertiary Degree in Process Engineering
- Minimum 5 year’s hands-on experience
- Innate understanding of processes and engineering
- Excellent technical skills including design experience
- Prioritizing and managing activities
- Strong listening skills
- Comfortable working in teams and independently
