About the Role
We’re looking for hard working individuals seeking a pathway to start their professional career in Australia. We are building a role around a Skilled Workers Program for people seeking experience in; Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management & Wood Machining.
This role will see you working on our production facility, operating wood working machinery such as; CNC Machine, Bandsaw, Packsaw, we also have a number of assembly machines that need operator support.
This is a hands-on role with a program to expose you to all aspects of our business. The first 6 months will solely be based in our timber manufacturing facility, the hours are;
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am- 2:15pm / Friday: 6:00am-12:15pm
This is a career growth opportunity, with our onsite team of Industrial Specialists. Our Engineers will contribute to the second part of the program. They will have you working with them assisting with the Industrial packaging design using Solidworks, quoting and estimating, offsite measure-ups and utilizing the skills you have learnt in our production plant.
This is an In-Demand Industry and you’d be learning at one of the leading facilities in Australia.
About you
- Currently graduated from a mechanical or industrial engineering degree.
- On a student or a temporary resident visa looking for engineering specific work experience.
- Own transport.
- To be punctual and reliable.
- To be eager to learn.
- Hard working – There will be heavy lifting and hard work.
- With a variety of tasks every day it is essential that you have outstanding time management skills, attention to detail and ability work well under pressure.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all organizational levels and the public.
- Sound computer skills such with such programs as Word, Excel and Outlook.
- SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor experience an advantage.
- ERP experience such as Epicor / Microsoft Dynamics an advantage.
- Previous experience in similar role an advantage but not necessary as full training is provided.
- Forklift license an advantage.
