APS Adelaide Profile Services is Australia's leading Steel Processing business. Partnering with Bluescope Steel, we supply Australian made product across a variety of industries including Defence, Government Infrastructure, Mining & Resources, and Renewable Energy.
We are seeking a motivated Production Engineer to join our company and support our growing team.
Full time position Monday to Friday with flexibility.
Responsibilities will include:
• Design mechanical equipment, machines, components, and products.
• Develop and review functional statements, project information, and improved production processes.
• Create specifications based on customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
• Draft, manage, and revise technical documents, reports, presentations, and test prototypes to ensure functionality and quality.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and consultation to customers and subcontractors.
• Manage design reviews, engineering changes, and modifications.
• Organize and manage project labour, materials, plant, and equipment.
• Establish installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance standards and policies.
• Direct maintenance activities and coordinate requirements for new designs and maintenance schedules.
• Plan and supervise the machine operator team and Maximize machinery and workers' productivity, focusing on speed and efficiency.
• Assess and analyse current production methods.
• Determine equipment usage and stationing within the facility.
• Follow product specifications and quality control measures.
• Develop and implement quality control measures.
• Work within set budgetary plans for projects.
• Supervise manufacturing processes to ensure quality work and safety.
• Liaise with other relevant departments for production improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
Hold a bachelor degree in a related engineering field.
Minimum experience of 5+ years in a Production engineering position
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Intermediate MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of ERP systems
Physically fit, driven and passionate
Safety focused and high attention to detail
