The Opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit a Production Engineering Manager to join our team based in Erskine Park. Reporting to the General Manager Group Operations, the successful candidate will lead the Engineering team and work closely with the Production and Maintenance teams. 

Key Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leading company covering a wide variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Lead and motivate the engineering team while leveraging your leadership and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. 
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement asset management plans while Identifying opportunities to improve asset performance and compliance.
• Monitor and analyse asset performance data, support troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of asset performance monitoring systems.
• Contribute to project management and strategic planning initiatives, providing valuable insights and expertise to drive successful outcomes.
• Oversee project work, especially in integrating new equipment or processing changes with a strong focus on end-to-end automation of productions lines/cells.
• Oversee vendor selection and manage contractor relationships.
• Develop and mentor the engineering team, emphasizing training and competency.
• Achieve, enforce and follow WH&S, quality and environmental procedures.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager and work in a safe and efficient manner. You will ideally have:

• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record with 5+ years management experience in a similar role. 
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to drive cultural change, develop people, and engage teams.
