We are happy to be partnering with our long-term client, offering this new and diverse opportunity to all Mechanically minded; people management, production planning, scheduling & operations specialists who are currently based in the Orange/Parkes and surrounding suburbs community.
We seek a ‘mechanically capable’ individual who wishes to apply analytical cum production operations experience together with a love to be hands-on within this functional, and efficient manufacturing environment.
A practical, multitasking, and resourceful specialist, who is keen to work as part of a team, and independently is essential, as this role does require a motivated self-starter.
A brief look at the JOB…
Reporting to the Head of Production you will be assigned specifically to support a specialised department in providing a seamless and proactive service for a busy production and warehousing operation.
The role will be required to provide team leadership, hands-on maintenance, and troubleshooting on machinery whilst providing operational direction to expedite these high-quality, finished products across the business.
Including…
- Effective leadership and direction of a team of operators
- Planning and purchasing of raw materials
- Scheduling and planning of production schedule
- Troubleshooting and fault finding on machinery, making the necessary adjustments
- Liaising with relevant suppliers, sales staff, customer service, and production sites about product availability
- A continuous commitment to work health and safety and quality assurance protocols
- Previous experience in a similar role with a natural leadership, and team management capability is essential
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently against tight and important deadlines
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask and an eye for detail
- Great organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrate commitment, flexibility & responsiveness to business needs
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, while maintaining outstanding levels of internal & external customer service
- Previous experience in mechanical trades or experience would be advantageous in dealing with machinery breakdowns and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
