This is an exciting opportunity to work in a bakery making a novel product - edible cups. We're on the lookout for a dynamic & autonomous bakery expert to join our team. As our Production Lead & Baker, you will have responsibility to run production & fulfil customer orders. Accountability is a must and a passion for sustainability is a bonus.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsibilities:
Deliver consistently high-quality edible cups through use of best practice production methods, processes and schedules, making improvements where required.
Fulfilling daily production plan including:
Ingredients preparation
Dough preparation & mixing
Dough quality check and adjustments to minimise waste
Dough portioning
Baking using a unique baking oven
Adjustments to baking procedure and settings to minimise waste
Trimming of the cups
Air blowing to remove dust
Batch storage & labelling
Fill out logsheet & record keeping
Clean up
Fulfilling customer orders:
Product quality check
Preparing packaging material & customer orders
Fulfilling online orders using Shopify platform
Fulfilling wholesale orders
Managing dispatch including freight bookings
Prepare chocolate cups according to customer orders
Complete logsheets & record keeping
Production management:
Accurate cup stock level management
Stocktake and stock monitoring (including ingredients and packaging material)
Actively manage any process worker staff including rostering, training and performance management.
Collaboration & communication with the management team
Ensure compliance with all food safety standards, internal policies and procedures and OH&S regulations.
Production space:
Daily open & close tasks
Regular cleaning of production equipment
Weekly laundry
Maintain production space cleanliness
Ordering consumables as needed
Requirements:
Bakery experience +3years
Proven track record of running production for a food product
Team leadership experience +1year
Experience with chocolate tempering & dipping is preferred
Basic office & computer skills
Ability to take the lead and work independently.
Excellent time management & problem solving skills and great attention to details is crucial.
Based in Melbourne, Australia.
