Due to an internal promotion, a new vacancy has been created for a highly motivated and dedicated Production Manager to oversee their team of Fabricators and Mechanical Fitters at their manufacturing facility in Reservoir.
This position is with a leading designer and manufacturer of processing equipment that includes pressure vessels, screw conveyors, and related components.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a Supervision or management role
- Relevant trade certificate (Metal Fabrication or Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Engineer)
- Experience in Medium to heavy engineering
- A good understanding of welding processes and procedures
Tasks & responsibilities
- Forecasting and programming jobs and allocating tasks to individual workers
- Reading and interpreting design drawings and specifications
- Performing individual fabricating/machining tasks
- Monitoring job times and optimising efficiency on the factory floor
- Ensuring safe work practices are followed
- Communicating with the Purchasing Officer, General Manager and
Engineering Department.
