The Role
The Production Manager will lead the day to day operations and will play a vital position within their operations leadership team focusing on safety, quality, engagement, and efficient production management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all production activities, ensuring effective management of resources (people, equipment, materials) to achieve production goals.
- Collaborate with supervisory staff to manage production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers, ensuring smooth operations.
- Manage a comprehensive training and skills matrix for all production staff to aid in effective production planning.
- Uphold and enforce rigorous safety standards, including management of standard operating procedures (SOPs), daily checklists, and training.
- Ensure adherence to quality, GMP, Hygiene, and Food Safety standards across the site.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing efficiency enhancements.
- Manage compliance with environmental health and safety standards across production processes.
- Strong leadership with the ability to achieve results through team development including; coaching, communication, skills development
- Uncompromising safety and quality focus - instigates proactive measures to minimise risks within the workplace
- Sound understanding of the key levers that influence and/or improve the financial performance of the business
- “Can Do” attitude with strong problem-solving skills, this includes the ability to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo
- Ability to juggle several conflicting priorities at the same time, without losing focus on the detail
