AddressWe are looking for a Production Manager for a company located in Dandenong South, VIC 3175. This company manufactures Precast Concrete panels, supplying to sectors such as Commercial Development and High Rise apartments.
This is a permanent full time position, Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday depending on work flow with salary package based on experience.
Previous experience in a construction, concreting or manufacturing environment is preferred, as is an understanding of the precast industry.
WHAT YOU NEED:
The successful applicant must be hands-on, reliable and have an enthusiastic approach to their work with safety always top of mind.
Ideally you will have:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Precast Concrete ,Civil Construction industry or Construction Management experience;
* A trade background in construction carpentry is preferred, though not compulsory.
* Read and interpret construction (structural) drawings;
* Experience managing a team of trades/labourers in a factory/site environment;
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal with both internal and external customers;
* A current drivers license.
WHAT YOU DO:
As the Production Manager you will be taught and expected to carry out duties such as (but not limited to):
* Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth supply to customer of custom precast products to customers;
* Oversee all aspects of production from reading drawings through to the production phase;
* Leading your manufacturing team to achieve daily targets through effective toolbox meetings and QC monitoring;
* Assist with contract administration and scheduling;
* Link the planning of work orders to ensure the production phase occurs smoothly with the team at our manufacturing facility (there is no on-site work);
* Develop specifications for production and determining required materials from drawings.
