About the role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, the Production Manager takes accountability for the running of daily production activities and processes. These processes are to be carried out while maintaining a clean GMP approved work environment.
The Production Manager has overall responsibility for Production and Manufacturing activities, including:
- Ensure staff under their supervision perform each production stage in line with the required work instructions.
- Effectively manages production teams on site and measures successes and limitations.
- Manages team resources to achieve maximum output.
- Report complete and accurate data to the Senior Management Team
- Identify problems, recommend alternatives and implement solutions.
- Monitor critical process parameters and provide an active response to resolution management, including assessment and rectification of the equipment and resource downtime
To be successful in this role you need to:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science is preferred. Degrees in other related disciplines are acceptable in conjunction with suitable experience and accomplishments.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related industry, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, horticulture, or agriculture.
- Highly developed organisational and business planning / modelling ability with formal methodology experience
- Effective communication verbal and written.
- Demonstrate capacity to apply the principles of the Code of Good Manufacturing practice (cGMP)
