Dandelion Vineyards is a family-owned winery based in McLaren Vale. Since 2007, Elena and Zar Brooks have been producing award-winning wines across the regions of Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula and McLaren Vale. The diverse portfolio of Dandelion Vineyards is distributed nationally and internationally through important distribution partners.
Dandelion Vineyards' cellar door, the Wonder Room, is located at Firehawk Farm, a 60-acre property perched atop an ancient ridge overlooking McLaren Vale and the Gulf St Vincent.
The role
This is a dynamic and hands-on role at the forefront of our operations, overseeing and optimising our production processes. The Production Manager will actively support and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure the timeliness and accuracy across production.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop production schedules, workflows, and plans to meet demand and deadlines.
• Forecast and manage inventory to maintain adequate levels dry goods (labels, cartons and caps) to meet production demands.
• Reconcile and ensure dry goods inventory management and records are aligned with internal records.
• Identify and address production issues, bottlenecks, and delays.
• Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes.
• Manage dry goods and production related supplier selection process, relationship, and price negotiation and records, for the quality level required.
• Facilitate effective communication within the team and other stakeholders.
• Oversee label requirements and regulations according to market (export and domestic).
• Manage projects aimed at improving production, expansion, and new product launches.
• Maintain the relevant documents required for relevant organic bodies and Sustainable Wine Australia.
• Liaise with the warehouse staff to ensure domestic and export orders are collated and dispatched from the winery to satisfy all freight & shipping timelines.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and data input into our system.
