AddressWe're seeking a highly organised Production Manager to join our Bristile Roofing site in Dandenong, Victoria.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for leading the production team in the safe, efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality concrete roof tiles from our Dandenong plant.
Duties include but are not limited to
- Lead the production team to exceed production targets and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
- Continuously improve production processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Conduct daily production meetings to review performance and address any issues.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Shift Supervisors to minimise downtime and optimise plant output.
- Work closely with scheduling to ensure production meets demand.
- Develop and implement employee engagement activities to foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure proper training and competency assessments for the production team.
- Oversee housekeeping standards within the plant to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Implement quality control measures and identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead and coach production supervisors to achieve objectives and deliver results.
- Conduct performance management tasks and handle employee behaviour issues.
- Review production schedules and manage resources to meet sales plans and budgets.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, compliant with WHSE policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the SHEM team to improve safety performance.
Success Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a multi-shift production environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in team management.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Bristile Roofing supply chain.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong record-keeping and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in budget preparation and cost control.
