Position Summary:
Wandin Valley Farms is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, ensuring efficient operation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing the production of all products, ensuring they meet our strict quality standards.
- Managing a dynamic team, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Identifying and executing improvements in the production process to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborating with suppliers to guarantee a steady supply of raw materials.
- Spearheading a continuous improvement program to drive operational excellence.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Science or Engineering (highly desirable).
- Proven experience in production management, with a preference for backgrounds in the agricultural sector.
- Capable of quickly mastering production programming and software tools.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of performing under pressure.
- Valid Driver's License and Forklift license.
Special Requirements and Skills:
- Expertise in managing sophisticated machinery and systems, including robotics, optical cameras, and water treatment plants.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining software and hardware across the warehouse.
- Strong ability to manage product freight, ensuring timely deliveries to various markets and distribution centres.
- Excellent planning and coordination skills, particularly in production scheduling and managing orders.
