Production Process Worker
Keith’s Quality Foods manufactures and distributes a range of high-quality products to a large Distributors, retail outlets and QSR customers through-out Australia and New Zealand and have experienced substantial growth resulting in the need for an additional Process Workers.
Based at our Brand New site in Arundel, we pride ourselves on delivering quality products to our diverse customer base both domestically and internationally.
The role will typically involve –
- Be dressed and ready to commence production at time requested
- Wear uniform provided (coats, gum boots, hair net, gloves)
- Check production sheet and schedule for day’s production requirements (or check with production supervisor)
- Set-up machinery for the day’s production in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
- Operate production computer and label printer
- Label and erect boxes for day’s production
- Perform product change over process in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in the Food Safety Plan (i.e. crumbing and battering procedures)
- Operate equipment in such a manner as to prevent damage to machinery and other employees
- Ensure production work flow & processes are efficient and productive
- Maintain quality of the products manufactured i.e. checking for non-conforming raw material
- Identify, minimise and eliminate any wastage
- Ensure all processing records are completed accurately (daily records – temperature, calibration, receiving)
- Assist with storage and handling of finished packaged product in cold room and freezer
- Take rubbish and recycling to appropriate bins outside
- Ensure factory is maintained in a clean manner that meets Food Safety standards
- To comply with all policies and procedures of the company
- Assist with cleaning and sanitising equipment and work area when required
- Support a “Team Based” environment and be a team player.
- Able to train new staff if required.
- Support the implementation of all Company procedures & policies
- Actively suggest ways to improve processes and quality control
- Notify Maintenance Manager of equipment malfunction
- Notify management regarding day’s off
- Carry out other duties as directed by management
Requirements:
Two (2) years’ experience in Food Manufacturing sites.
This is a day shift role with your hours being between 6.30am and 2.30pm – Monday to Friday. There may be some afternoon work until 6pm to 6.30pm as required.
