About the Role
Working at the Royal Australian Navy’s School of Maritime Warfare delivering training to the Navy’s premier warfare course.
As a Principal Warfare Instructor (PWO), you will be integral to the training and development of current naval warfare skills. Reporting to the PWO Lead Instructor, your primary responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering advanced courses for Principal Warfare Officers, in line with current doctrine and documentation
- Delivering additional courses required within the Maritime Warfare Officers’ training continuum.
- Maintaining up-to-date expertise in Royal Australian Navy warfare policies, procedures, and tactics to ensure the highest standards of training
- Assisting in the development and updating of course materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness for future training requirements.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Be able to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1 or higher
- A Principal Warfare Officer qualification from within the Royal Australian Navy, Royal Navy, Royal New Zealand Navy, or Royal Canadian Navy
- At least 2 years of direct experience in a Principal Warfare Officer (PWO) role with sea-going assignments.
