An opportunity currently exists for a Production Scheduler – Baking, based at our Macquarie Park Head Office (or alternate Allied Pinnacle site) on a permanent full-time basis. This position will plan the production across our Baking sites to ensure all customer requirements are successfully met.
Key accountabilities include:
- Develop, execute, and communicate a Master Production Schedule, linking the unconstrained demand plan with the capability of site operations.
- Understand material and capacity constraints within 104 weeks, focus in 13-week horizon and provide feedback to stakeholders around constraints which require escalation.
- Maintain targeted service levels.
- Develop and monitor feasible production schedules taking into consideration production constraints such as line capacity, labour, batch sizes, run rates, bottlenecks, downtime, MLOR/obsolescence risk, capacity, and storage restrictions.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams to optimise the planning parameters which best balance the available of inventory/service and minimise stock obsolescence.
- Partner with product development and operations teams to help plan and execute successful new product launches.
- Support the Supply Planning Manager in delivering the monthly Supply Review as part of the IBP cycle.
- Work with supply planners and schedulers to understand and build expertise within each channel for supply analysis and opportunity/risk assessments as well as validating planned outcomes and assumptions.
- Understand the systematic approach to closing of process or system performance gaps through streamlining and cycle time reduction, and identify and eliminate causes of quality below specifications, process variation, and non-value-adding activities.
- ̥Demonstrate ability to visualise the total process and aid in locating problem areas using process mapping, quality improvement, and visualization tools to locate, quantify, and correct root causes of problems.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management, engineering, business, or related discipline.
- APICS Certified (preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in planning/inventory management, ideally within a manufacturing and distribution business.
- Manufacturing and distribution experience, ideally within the FMCG, Pharma/Med Devices or related industries.
- Patience, resilience, and tenacity to work within a complex network environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- ERP system experience. Allied Pinnacle is transitioning to a Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment in 2024. Transferable experience is an equivalent ERP (SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder etc).
