The Opportunity
James Hardie is looking to recruit an experienced Production Scheduler for our Rosehill plant. This role will strategically organise and schedule the manufacturing plan in accordance with customer needs.
With your exceptional communication skills, you will work cross-functionally with our manufacturing, distribution and customer teams to coordinate the timely release of production schedules, each with their unique complexities and constraints, and to ensure our products are produced on time, every time.
This is a full time opportunity and due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work onsite every day, it means you can beat the traffic with a 6:00am start, finishing your afternoons at 2:30pm! Not only that, you will be surrounded by a great bunch of energetic and supportive teammates.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for booking in stock and stock management, liaise with customer link to manage customer expectations, creating new items in SAP, as well as using SAP and the internal operating system daily
- Partake in two finished goods stocktakes per year; manage and coordinate two products in process stock takes a year; perform daily cycle counts on product in process
- Manage finishing material inventory levels, order finishing material stock (pallets, etc), and liaise with suppliers regarding timely supply, pricing, and inventory levels
- Manage specific consumable items and co-ordinate the monthly stock take
- Coordinate the set up and running of special-order products
- Work closely with all the upper management staff as well as with the sales team to provide ETA's for stock
- Maintain the factory’s information system on a daily basis to provide information used in daily management reporting
- Complete EOM reconciliations reporting in a timely manner
- Manage the daily and weekly reporting for schedule adherence and stock outs
- Acting as a safety leader at all times and ensuring yourself and others perform their work safely
- Tertiary qualifications in manufacturing, supply chain or engineering (ideal)
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing/operations environment
- Knowledge and experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
- Knowledge and experience with MS Excel
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and work cross functionally
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations
- Ability to strategically view and execute operational plans
