About the role
The primary objective of this position is to support planners in issuing job orders and work instructions to Production, maintaining production schedules, allocating materials, expediting job orders, and ensuring timely reporting.
Additionally, the role involves creating and releasing purchase service orders, managing inventory control, and contributing to Health & Safety initiatives and Continuous Improvement activities.
** We are also offering up to $8k in financial assistance to support your APIC certification so that you end up with a formal planner qualification.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Timely Issue of Daily Job Orders to production work group leaders.
- Production scheduling.
- Creation and release of purchase service orders, Inventory Control and allocation of stock.
- Maintain stock levels of finished goods and materials.
- Manage short term plant capacity planning including balancing relevant work centres.
About you
- VCE or equivalent education.
- Experience in a shopfloor or warehouse environment.
- Understanding of production planning processes.
- Experience in production scheduling, inventory control, and material allocation.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, particularly Syteline (desirable).
- Knowledge of CAD drawings, bill of materials, and shopfloor work instructions (desirable).
- Strong computer skills including Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel (desirable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
