Our Feed mill in Berrima produces feed for our farms across NSW. Due to a recent increase in production, we are looking to appoint a Production Manager to manage a team and oversee manufacturing across 3 shifts. This role will ensure the timely production of high quality feed, drive safety and maintain and lead improvements in hygiene and cleanliness across the site.
This is a Monday to Friday role with some overtime required as necessary. It’s a great opportunity to further your career and join a large iconic business like Inghams!
Responsibilities include:
- Support Mill Manager with daily activities on site at the Mill
- Manage a team of staff and oversee production across 3 shifts
- Supervise quality control of raw materials and finished feed
- Supervise cleaning/hygiene of the mill
- Weekly reporting to monitor operating efficiency
- Oversee staff training and manage staff rosters
- Provide support to all roles including leave coverage
We’re interested in people who can bring:
- Previous hands-on experience in a similar farming operations role in Feed Production or similar
- Experience in leading, coaching and motivating a team
- A good understanding of modern farming methods, a commitment to animal welfare and an interest in, and understanding of, the ways in which farming impacts the environment
- Strong Computer skills with proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work demands and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding and exposure to both Biosecurity and Animal Welfare principles
