A rewarding opportunity currently exists for aProduction Supervisorto join our Sibanye Stillwater Australia team based on site at the Century Mine (Lawn Hill). This position will be offered as a permanent role on a FIFO basis - 15 days on /13 days off roster.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Achieving plant production rates while ensuring all crews have sufficiently trained members to safely and efficiently process concentrate in an environmentally sound manner.

The key accountabilities of this role will be developed according to the business needs of the company, and to achieve their effective delivery certain skills will be required:
- Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility. Key aspects of this role include:
- Achievement of plant production rates
- Managing and allocating crew personnel to safely and efficiently process concentrate in an environmentally sound manner
- Ensure all production personnel have the appropriate training and level of competency
- Effective communication with the Hydro-mining Department, the Maintenance Department and the Port Karumba facility.
- This role also involves the identification of potential plant improvements, and implementation of plant modifications as required.
Applicants shall possess the following technical, interpersonal skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
Technical:
- Trouble shooting / problem solving / decision making
- Cert IV Frontline Management
- Cert IV Trainer & Assessor (desirable)
- RCA / ICAM / incident investigation analysis
People:
- Team player with the ability to maintain internal and external relationships
- Self-motivated
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal at various levels (Technical, Operational)
- Adaptable to change
- A healthy customer focus
Knowledge:
- Competent in Microsoft Office products
- Competent in PI Process Book
- Understanding of maintenance practices and asset management
- Familiar with change management and continuous improvement principles
- Business and support systems (i.e. Pronto, DMS)
- Safety and environmental practices and legislation
- Understanding of mineral processing and base metals flotation principles
Experience:
- Previous operational experience within the mining industry and materials handling
- Minimum 3 years supervisory/leadership skills
- Experience in FIFO operations preferred
Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences:
- Cert IV Frontline Management
- RIIRIS301D Apply risk management processes (previously RIIRIS301B, RIIRIS301A QMS1, MNMG325A or MNQGEN300A or MNCG1001A)
- RIIWHS301D Conduct safety and health investigations (previously RIIOHS301A, QMS2 or MNMG326A or MNQGEN310A or MNCG1008A)
- RIICOM301D Communicate information (previously RIICOM3)
- Valid ‘C’ Class drivers’ licence
