About the role..
Based at our Truganina site, the Production Team Leader - PM Shift will co-ordinate with all associated parties to deliver high quality consumer retail ready products in a safe and timely manner. The Production Team Leader will lead the employees that are directly involved in the Production process to ensure all Products manufactured are to customer standards and play an integral role in building a the team culture.
This is a rotating roster including every second weekend dayshift.
- Rosters and delegates allocated tasks to team members to ensure effective use of time and capability;
- Adhere to Business Standards;
- Understand drivers of budget, forecast and benefits;
- Provide input and assist in implementation of SHE initiatives and improved work practices;
- Communicates clear directions to ensure team members understand their tasks and correct procedures and processes to ensure Production targets are met;
- Trains and coaches employees in operating procedures, including compliance with safety procedures and performs corrective action when required;
- Monitors performance objectives and metrics and makes changes to resources as required;
- Manages administrative tasks to ensure information is collected and reported.
- Ensures effective team operation through recruitment, monitoring performance, developing capability, managing team member performance and dealing effectively with employee grievances;
About you!
- Experience in FMCG/ Food Manufacturing Operations at Supervisor level;
- An understanding of SHE issues and Quality principles;
- Organisation skills and attention to detail;
- Take initiative and provide complete follow-through on areas of responsibility;
- An ability to be 'hands on' and an outcomes focused attitude;
- A great people leader with excellent communication and listening skills.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
