ABOUT THE POSITION
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Technician to join our experienced team based at our processing facility in Kwinana, Western Australia. This is a permanent full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work on an equal-time, family-friendly rotating shift (sportsman) roster.
The successful applicant will be responsible for safely operating all aspects of the processing plant. This will contribute to Tianqi Lithium Kwinana safely commissioning the plant on time and on budget, setting the foundations for the company to produce the highest quality and most cost-effective lithium in the world.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to deal with the challenges of operating a processing plant
- Reads changing situations quickly and maintains composure whilst working and making decisions under pressure and during times of high workload
- Competent in Materials handling, Pyrometallurgical, Leach Hydrometallurgical, Crystalliser & Packaging, boilers
- Customer focused and dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
- Is good at establishing relationships with others and understands instructions,
- Can prioritise workload appropriately within their work group,
- Goes about work in a well-planned and organized manner
- Brings out the best in people
- Competent to perform isolation within process for plant and equipment
- Competent with the operation of mobile equipment
- Ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained
- Is a clear communicator.
- Committed and practical approach to safety and wellbeing of self & team members
- Ability to engage and communicate clearly with other team members
- Strong collaboration with team to achieve safety & production targets and Liaise with all levels of the Production Department
- Ability to train others and ultimately assess competence
- Actively participate in team activities skills training, shift handover communications, toolbox meetings and any other activities as required by the Supervisor
- Undertake regular inspections of all plant areas of responsibility. Eliminate and control hazards
- Report any faults and breakdowns
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent knowledge of refinery or process plant operations.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar industry
- Commitment and a practical approach to your safety and well-being and the safety and well-being of your team members.
- Ability to engage and communicate clearly with all levels in the Production Department.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritise and complete complex tasks.
- Strong focus on housekeeping and sustaining a safe workplace.
- Strong understanding of plant isolation and permit to work.
- Relevant High-Risk Work License (Front End Loader, Skid Steer, EWP, Forklift)
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry.
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate IV in Process Plant Operations or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Experience or exposure in emergency response team services.
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodology.
