This is a small company with 20 people.
The Role
Due to rapid growth and an increase in projects, the business has created a new role as a Production Technician. This can be a flexible part-time permanent position or a full-time permanent position depending on what you are looking for. The offices and production facility is in Artarmon, easily accessible by bus or a 15 min walk from either Artarmon or St Leonard train station.
In this role you will be responsible for all the assembly and production activities of products such as LED signs, sensors, solar and technology enclosures. There will also be some warehouse and logistics duties as required.
- Assembly manufacturing of various electronic, metal and plastic products. Use of screwdrivers and other basic tools required. An understanding of how to assemble electronic products will be useful.
- You will be taught how to use a cutting machine, used for aluminium extruded pieces.
- Basic logistics and warehouse activities such as picking stock and packing equipment ready for deliveries.
- Ability to use tools. Handyman ability will be highly regarded.
- Computer literate. There will be computer systems and software you will be required to use on a day to day basis.
- Fast ability to learn. Our client is happy to teach and train you in the specifics but you must be able to learn quickly.
- Previous experience with assembling electronic equipment will be highly regarded.
