The Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) is the leading professional organisation for building surveying practitioners in Australia. It supports and promotes the interests of building surveyors and certifiers by providing professional development opportunities, advocating for the industry, and offering resources and networking opportunities for its members.
About the Role
This role, reporting to the CEO, involves managing AIBS’s membership, the Professional Standards Scheme, and the Compliance Program, while addressing risks affecting the building surveying profession. You will lead a team, across areas of accreditation, continuous professional development, member service, and member audit, to drive overall strategic goals and organisational objectives.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide effective leadership of the Membership and Professional Standards Scheme function.
- Provide support to the executive leadership team in the development of the organisation's strategy and operating plans.
- Conduct Annual and quarterly Professional Standards reporting.
- Overall management of membership and accreditation systems.
- Overall management of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Program and the Audit Program.
- Manage compliance information and provide support to the professional Practice Panel.
- Manage and monitor complaints and disciplinary actions.
- Provide any other ad hoc, administrative, or budget support as required.
- Experience managing compliance, membership, or accreditation systems.
- People leadership experience.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of initiative.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills.
