As the Program Assistant (Widening Participation), you will provide all-round administration support to the WPU team across various administrative functions to ensure effective day to day operations. This may also include assisting team members with administrative tasks to ensure the successful delivery and evaluation of WPU pre-access, access and participation programs and initiatives both on and off Wallumattagal Campus (North Ryde) with a focus on students from low SES backgrounds, students from regional and remote areas and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Reporting to the Widening Participation Administrator, you will:
Provide all-round support to the WPU team across a broad range of administrative service functions including facilities management, travel and accommodation bookings, courier bookings and purchasing.
Provide support to the WPU team across finance functions (including raising invoices and generating finance enquiry reports).
Assist in raising awareness of the Unit’s programs and initiatives through our website and social media accounts including content creation and updates, planning and scheduling posts and collaborating with other team members to increase online engagement during program and event delivery.
Provide administrative assistance to the program team where needed, including liaising with internal stakeholders, to support the successful delivery of WPU initiatives (both on and off MQ Wallumattagal Campus).
Assist in the recruitment and training of student casuals, including overseeing daily tasks and event day supervision of these student casuals both on and offsite.
Assist in the maintenance of program participant and stakeholder records, including completed and/or verified WWCC, Appendix 11, privacy & consent forms, and dietary and accessibility requirements.
Assist in the management and coordination of the Unit’s fleet vehicles, including upkeep and maintenance as well as driving the vehicles to support with program delivery.
Support WPU evaluation functions through using designated software to input surveys and extract data reports, assisting in survey distribution and collection, and data entry.
Comply with relevant EEO and WHS regulations.
Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification.

The WPU is funded by the Federal Government's Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP).

Relevant diploma level qualification with demonstrated relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of demonstrated relevant experience and/or education/training.
Understanding of foundational project management processes.
Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with and support students from diverse backgrounds, such as Low SES, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and from regional and remote areas.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint to prepare material for key stakeholders if required.
Demonstrated strong administrative and organisational abilities.
Relevant valid driver’s license and the willingness to be trained to drive MQ fleet vehicles.
Skills and experience in Adobe design suite is desired but not required.
