Your new role
  
We are currently in search of a dynamic Program Coordinator to join our team at Curtin Medical School. As the Program Coordinator, you will have a crucial role in facilitating internal collaboration, engaging our leaders, developing and refining internal processes to improve efficiencies, and fostering a sense of unity within our institution.
  
Your responsibilities will include coordinating day-to-day operational requirements, providing support for School Committees and meetings, coordinating events, managing internal and external communications, as well as overseeing grants and contracts.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering annual programs with acute attention to detail and the ability to promote and enhance communication within project teams.

In this role you will (but are not limited to):
  • Be responsible for program delivery and operations.
  • Develop and maintain program resources.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure program outcomes are meeting their requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance and provide reports to the line manager.
  • Monitor program budget and provide advice to the line manager
  • May provide leadership and guidance to staff, through effective talent management, career planning, performance reviews and development.
  • Write and prepare project reports and related documentation.
  • Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.

Selection Criteria
  • Completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to coordinate and implement program activities.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise reports and other relevant documentation.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team, including respecting difference, leading and supporting others, accepting direction, and working to group goals.
Area Specific Criteria
  • Sound research, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a large tertiary education environment.
