Walalakoo Aboriginal Corporation, based in Derby, is a prominent organization representing the Nyikina & Mangala people of the Kimberley region in Western Australia.

We are seeking a Ranger Program Development Officer with a drive and passion to support our Traditional Owners of the Nyikina Mangala Determination area.
This position is full time, for one year (extended dependant on continued funding)
The Ranger Program Development Officer will have two key responsibilities:
- Developing a plan and building the basis for a women's ranger program;
- Establishing a junior ranger program, and overseeing its implementation.
About you
- Have a strong understanding of Indigenous land management, natural resource management, Healthy Country Plans and Indigenous Protection Areas;
- Be willing and able to work in a regional location and undertake field work on-country alongside the Nyikina Mangala Rangers;
- Be experienced developing and implementing project plans, schedules, budgets and risk management, reporting to funding bodies and collecting information.
- You will be committed to adherence to laws and regulations, and the safety and welfare of children in alignment with National Principles of Child Safe Organisations
