The City of Fremantle is seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced individual who can develop and deliver innovative Community Development programs and events that enrich and inspire the Fremantle community.
This key position reports to the Team Leader, Community Development and will require you to demonstrate your significant experience in event management, youth, and community program development as well as your knowledge of community engagement and communications. You will be expected to bring flexibility to the role and be available to occasionally work on evenings and weekends as required.
Key responsibilities include:- Develop, support and evaluate Community Development programs.
- Develop marketing for programs.
- Foster relationships and develop partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Recruit and train volunteers to support program objectives.
- Identify, prepare and acquit grant and other funding opportunities.
Appointment to this position will be dependent on your success in a similar or related role, your demonstrated program development and evaluation skills and your experience in creating and delivering engaging experiences for community. Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in Community Development or equivalent. Previous experience in the public library system will be well regarded. A C class driver’s license is a requirement of the position.
