Form of workWe are currently recruiting a Program Director for Queensland Health - This is a contract role through to the 24th March 2025, based in the Valley
The Role
The Digital Lead will report to the Senior Director and will have program / project level oversight and accountability for scope, schedule, budget, requirements, digital blueprints, designs, and system integrator management to deliver all digital components of new or redeveloped QH facilities.
Responsibilities
- Management of a significant budget in the order of $75M and above.
- Lead a large Program workforce consisting of employees, contractors and service organisations that provide program and project services ranging from design, through to operational readiness, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure program outcomes are achieved by leading and mentoring program and project teams.
- Provide high level expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables.
- Oversee the successful delivery of complex and high-risk ICT projects to ensure program outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered.
- Ensure the Program and all related projects integrate with Queensland Health's strategic direction,
- Provide high level expert advice, influencing, working collaboratively with and aligning to Whole of Government (initiatives, and state, national and international health bodies.
- Ensure Programs are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines (MSP, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage programs and component projects by overseeing the monitoring and reporting of program related trends, capability development and performance against project plans and budgets.
- Ensure project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is maintained.
- Liaising, consulting, and negotiating with key senior stakeholders at Chief Executive, CFO and CIO level across eHQ, 16 HHS and the Department of Health
Skills Required
- Experience in Prince2, MSP, Agile and ITIL will be well regarded.
- Experience in leadership roles in government.
